45" Vaggelli Board Shear SOLD

SOLD! Beautiful Italian board shear that cuts like a dream. Asking price $3,000.

Co-owned by myself and master bookbinder Carolina Veenstra, we can vouch that this is one of the nicest board shears we've ever used. It's dead square with a solid clamp; handles heavy stock and large sheets unflinchingly, and comes with a custom steel base on locking wheels so while it's hefty, you can move it around. Blade is sharp, we wax it once in a while and it slides super smooth. Also there's big scrap tray / shelf underneath that moves with the outside fence and further space for storage beneath.

We love this board shear and we want it to go to a working artist or institution who will use it plenty! We are selling to make space for a new press. It's housed in Kingston WA, a few blocks from the ferry, at Expedition Press. Easy load out, ground floor, garage door, cement pad continues outside with no lip. 

Bed is about 48" deep by 40" wide (with side guide closed) x 37" high. Blade is 45", extends a total of 78" from the end of the counterweight to the tip of the handle when the handle is down. Built in ruler on bed is metric.
