A brother. A train. Fat persimmon, sad heart. Impossible stars and dirt kissing and the idea of allowing your body love—this poem conjures a kind of longing to be touched that goes past what I think I know about love.

I haven’t printed anything from this poem but I have been living with it some years now and can feel a few lines taking shape on a small page. I never know quite when a print will come as designs take their own mysterious time.
Update summer 2022: the print took form!
